HAYNES
Rev. Dr. Olive D. Haynes (10/2/30-8/22/10), daughter of the John and Mary M. Haynes of Baltimore, MD, and granddaughter of Harry and Mary Olive Haynes of Columbus, OH. Survived by brother, Charles Haynes and niece Sharon (George) Bell. A graduate of North High School, she earned BA and MA degrees in Radio-TV Speech and Production from OSU, an M. Div. from Princeton Seminary, and a D. Min. from Louisville Presbyterian Seminary. Before seminary she worked at the Columbus Public Library; was a writer/producer at the Cy Tandy Ad Agency; and worked 13 years for WOSU-Radio and TV. She pastored churches in St. Marys and Spencerville, OH; Marion, IL; and San Diego, CA; and let healthcare missions to Mexico, Africa, and China. After retiring in 1995 she was Parish Associate for Mission at Indianola Presbyterian Church. An arts-and-crafts person, she showed and sold her creations in California and Ohio. Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 at Indianola Presbyterian Church, 1970 Waldeck, Columbus.
