MARTINO

Maynard L. Martino, age 90, of Orient, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010 at home. He was born in Orient, Ohio on October 2, 1919 to the late Homer and Loura (Haughn) Martino. Maynard was a 1937 graduate of Grove City High School. His passion for his family farm was evident in the fact that from birth until his passing he enjoyed spending his time living and working there. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Haughn; and daughter in-law, Lynda K. Martino. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Opal (Wagner) Martino; children, Donnie (Linda) Martino and Terry (Kathy) Martino; five step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. When Maynard wasn’t tending to the family farm he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and showing pigs all around the country. He will be remembered as good hearted and a hard worker. Friends may call Wednesday, September 1, 2010 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS CHAPEL 3920 Broadway Grove City where the funeral service will be held Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 10:00AM. Pastor Ruth Pribe officiating. Interment will follow at Concord Cemetery, Grove City, Ohio. In lieu of flowers a donation in Maynard’s honor may be made to your favorite charity.
