Carol A. Wisemiller, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Riverside Hospital from complications resulting from a stroke. Carol was born on March 2, 1945 in Richland, Washington; she was the daughter of the late David Sr. and Virginia (nee Goff) Dorward. Carol moved to Columbus as a young girl and attended St. Mary’s of the Springs and Bishop Hartley Schools. She went on to attend The Ohio State University where she studied Nursing. Carol was a devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother. Warm and generous, she was always there for friends in need. Carol was a tireless worker who was good with numbers, an amazing self-taught cook, and a cut throat bridge and pinochle player. She enjoyed traveling, watching Cary Grant movies and shopping for her grandkids. She is survived by her loving family; daughter, Christine (Kenneth) Pinney; son, Thomas G. (Staci) Wisemiller; grandchildren, Rachael and Seth Pinney, Tommy Wisemiller and one more grandchild expected in March; brother, David Dorward, Jr.; nieces and nephew, Jennifer (nee Dorward) (Darin) Centolanza, Heidi (nee Dorward) (Joseph) Wildermuth, Leslie (nee Dorward) (William) Moccio and David (Deyanna) Dorward, III. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 7, 2011 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. A Memorial Mass will take place on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 12:30pm at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road, Columbus, Ohio 43220; Father Michael Watson celebrant.
