Joseph “Joey” S. Ochs, age 23, of Gahanna passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 27, 2011. Joey was born on January 10, 1988; he was the son of Joseph Ochs and Karen  Williams, who both survive. He is also survived by his loving children, Kaden and Justin; siblings, Krystal, Shawn and Nicole; grandparents, Donna (Mike) Tigner and Tom Ochs; and many other family and friends. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Eleanor Ochs and Steve Williams. Joey is a graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School. He was involved with St. Luke Lutheran Youth Group, which included his mission trip to France. Joey was a hard worker and had been working since 16, most recently at Bob Evans. He was a mentor to his siblings and had a loving heart. He enjoyed playing Frisbee golf, video games and spending time with his boys going to the park and fishing. Joey will be remembered for his grin and his huge heart. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 31, 2011 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 11:00am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 4456 Morse Road, Columbus, Ohio 43230.
