Joyce Ann Bertovich Takah, 68, of Avella, PA, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at home.

She was born July 8, 1942 in Washington, PA, the daughter of the late Steve and Stella Macveoski Bertovich.  Also preceding her in death was her husband, William Takah, Jr., on September 16, 2005.

Joyce was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Congregation of Follansbee, WV, and was a retired RN at UPMC, Pittsburgh, PA.

Surviving are, one brother, Joseph Bertovitch, of Avella, PA, one sister, Donna Hines and her husband, Bruce, of Avella, PA, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 1:00-9:00 P.M. at the James Funeral Home, 1245 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. with Mr. David Smith, officiating.  Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery,
